Shreve Village
Founded
in 1853, Shreve is a small (pop ~2000) village with a fascinating history and a
vibrant present. Services and shops of interest are a library offering internet
access to those in need, a post office, a good Amish restaurant (Des Essenhaus)
providing good food and friendly service, and a fine B&B, MoyerÕs Place.
One
of the special attractions of the village and its environs is that it is home
to gifted artists and craftsmen, over a dozen of whom were involved in
refurbishing the Green Man. In our
judgment, some of the local work is world-class and well worth considering for
personal purchase or gifts.
